Painting your walls to look like linen.....

Yes, it is possible to get the look of linen cloth on your walls and it is simple.
Get a painters 12 inch brush and 2 colors for paint, one needs to be a shade darker then the other.

1)Simply paint on the darker color first. Let it dry.
2)Paint on lighter color second.
 3)Before the second coat of paint dries you will take your 12 inch brush and brush horizontally in sections accross your wall.

When it completely dries you will see how it gives the effect of linen cloth.

DIY Tip of the day!

If you have standard white moulding and you would prefer to have a wood grain moulding, you can DIY....

Do it yourself by purchasing 3 colors of paint in wood grain colors by the quart. One light color, 1 medium and one dark color. Buy a simple $3.00 brush.

Apply the light tone color first. After you coat it go directly back with a dry brush. Let it dry and paint the medium tone on. This will pull back the color and allow depth of grain to appear as you apply the third color. Dark is for low lights.....

You now have the look of real wood grain!
